  ‘Swallowtail Day at Wheatfen Nature Reserve
Held in conjunction with the Ted Ellis Trust at Wheatfen Nature Reserve, Surlingham. An opportunity to see Swallowtails and other interesting fauna and flora on the paths around this special reserve.
Guided walks all day from 10am – wellies or stout footwear recommended. Refreshments available. Parking at TG325057.

Saturday/Sunday 23rd/24th June 2012
  Dinosaur Park Bio-Blitz

Norfolk Branch members will be manning a stall all weekend as well as taking part in recording butterflies and moths during a 24 hour bioblitz period. Dinosaur Adventure is hosting a 24 hour Bioblitz on these two days. The organisers are enlisting the assistance of lots of local wildlife experts to record as many species as possible from 12 noon on Saturday to 12 noon on Sunday. There will also be stalls and displays for visitors to learn more about identifying species and the further work of the local experts and organisations. Butterfly Conservation Norfolk Branch will be recording butterflies and moths and manning a stall during the Bioblitz. Visitors are welcome to come along to be part of the experience during Dinosaur Adventure’s normal opening hours 9.30am to 5pm (last admissions 4pm).
